Frequently asked questions

How does the referral program work?
Join from your dashboard or the referrals page and you get a personal link. A pilot who creates an account through it pays 20% less for their first 60 days, and you earn 20% for their first 12 payments.
Commissions become payable 30 days after the payment clears, and payouts run through Stripe Connect. You see counts and totals only; who joined on your link stays anonymous to you.
Referral program detailsWhat is a gouge?
A gouge is a firsthand interview report: the questions asked, the stages, and the outcome. The site collects gouges from previous candidates, structures them by airline and category, and publishes them after admin review.
How do I create an account?
Select Join Now and confirm your email with the link we send. Check spam and promotions if it does not arrive. Role selection is permanent. The target interview date is optional. Pick the airline you are preparing for.
Can I change my airline later?
Before upgrading, yes. After upgrading you are prompted to lock airlines. A locked airline cannot be removed or replaced. You can add airlines up to your plan's limit.
What is in Interview Info?
Anonymous reports from previous candidates: hired or not, age, total time, turbine time, the interview stages, and who conducted the interview.
How does the study guide work?
Questions and answers reported by applicants who sat the interview. Filter by category, answer aloud, then reveal the written answer and compare. Answers are reviewed and edited by the admin team. If something looks outdated, flag it for review.
What is Preparation guidance?
A briefing written by subject matter experts, informed by currently serving legacy airline captains. It explains what the interviewer is evaluating and how to structure a response.
What do Mastered and Flagged do?
Mark a question mastered once you can answer it consistently. Flag a question to come back to it later. The Flagged Only filter turns your flags into a review list.
What is the difference between HR, Technical, and CRM scenario questions?
HR covers background, motivation, and behavioral questions, including TMAAT prompts that ask for a specific story from your experience. Technical covers aircraft and operational knowledge. CRM scenarios present a crew situation and ask how you would handle it.
What is the Hands-Free Drill?
A microphone-driven drill for practicing away from the keyboard. Every voice command starts with the word slash: slash next, slash repeat, slash mastered, slash flag, slash flagged only, slash help. The drill is not graded. The full command list is under the Voice Commands tab.
How do I add another airline?
Open your account, select Manage Airlines, search for the carrier, then select Add Airline. Your plan sets how many airlines you can hold.
How do I submit my own interview?
Select the airline, position, and interview date first. As you type each question, check the suggestions in the dropdown and pick a match when one is accurate. Describe the answer you actually gave, and add questions in the order they were asked. Every submission is admin-reviewed before publishing.
Quality submissions may earn a contribution reward: additional question reads for free users, a gift card for exceptional submissions. Rewards are not guaranteed.
What does a membership cost?
A free account can browse airline pages, read a preview of each paywalled study guide, and use Practice within accessible questions.
The Black Binder All Access is $59 every 60 days. The Black Binder is $29 every 60 days. Both renew automatically until you cancel. There is no setup fee: the first charge is the same amount as every renewal.
These are founding prices. The regular price is $79 for The Black Binder All Access and $39 for The Black Binder.
Flight attendant access is free. A flight attendant account gets the flight attendant interview reports, study guide, and practice tools at no charge.
Plan comparison and pricesCan I receive a refund?
Canceling stops future renewals but does not refund the current paid period. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current 60-day billing period. Purchases are generally nonrefundable, including for nonuse, changed interview plans, or an airline decision. We will review duplicate, incorrect, or unauthorized charges. Your nonwaivable rights under applicable law remain unaffected.
Report a billing problemAre submissions anonymous?
Yes. Published reports never display a name, email, handle, or avatar. Your submissions are linked to your account only on your own dashboard.
How do I contact support?
Use the ticket form on the help page. Include the account email, the affected airline, and what happened. Do not include passwords or payment card details.
