Alaska Airlines
Alaska's public pilot careers page is open and APC reports hiring, but a current Alaska-list first-officer requisition was not independently confirmed on July 26, 2026. Published Alaska-list minimums include 1,500 total hours, 500 fixed-wing turbine, first-class medical, commercial airplane certificate with instrument rating, and ATP aeronautical experience.
American Airlines
American's official Pilot Hiring site remains active as of July 2026. Public primary sources do not state a 2026 class count; verify current application-window and class-date availability directly with American. American reported 14,970 APA-represented pilots at December 31, 2025.
Delta Air Lines
Delta resumed pilot hiring in 2026. Through the June 2 new-hire class, Delta had hired 817 pilots during 2026 and had 17,710 pilots on the seniority list. Delta's pilot application and hiring-process pages are active. The PWA is amendable December 31, 2026, and Contract 2026 negotiations are underway.
Endeavor Air
Endeavor's first-officer application is active. The Delta-owned carrier reports about 1,500 pilots, while ALPA lists about 1,650. Published qualifications center on ATP or R-ATP eligibility, a first-class medical, FCC license, passport, U.S. work authorization, and company/FAA/DOT screening.
Envoy Air
Envoy's pilot application remains open. Published minimums include a current first-class medical, IFR currency, FCC license, U.S. work and international-travel eligibility, commercial multi-engine and instrument ratings, ATP/R-ATP qualifying flight time, and a passed ATP written. The June 2026 portfolio publishes a nine-to-ten-week new-hire training program. Prior Part 121 service can receive longevity credit, and FOs may receive captain pay at 750 hours of applicable 121.436 time through December 31, 2026.
FedEx Express
FedEx reopened its qualified-pilot profile process in June 2026. Published minimums include 1,500 fixed-wing hours, 500 qualifying PIC, ATP, current first-class medical, FCC permit, passport, SIDA eligibility, drug testing, and PRIA evaluation. No authoritative 2026 class-size forecast was public.
Frontier Airlines
Frontier's first-officer application is open. The company reported about 2,300 pilots at year-end 2025, while ALPA listed 2,260 pilots and 259 hires during 2025. Published minimums are 1,500 hours total time and an ATP, with 2,500 total, 750 multi-engine fixed-wing, 500 PIC, and 500 jet or turboprop hours preferred.
Horizon Air
Horizon is currently recruiting experienced first officers with at least 200 hours of qualifying time under FAR 121.436(a)(3). The official page also publishes standard ATP/R-ATP eligibility minimums. Prior Part 121 service can receive year-for-year pay longevity credit subject to program conditions.
JetBlue Airways
JetBlue's direct-entry first-officer page had no open positions on July 26, 2026. ALPA reported the last pilot hire in May 2024. Gateway pathways remain active, but current direct-hire minimum qualifications are not published while the requisition is closed.
NetJets
NetJets is actively hiring and NJASAP represents more than 3,700 pilots. NetJets expects more than 80 new-aircraft deliveries in 2026. Its current recruiting page says first officers are typically promoted to captain in five years and offers more than 200 US home-base airports.
Piedmont Airlines
Piedmont's current application pages recruit first officers, direct-entry captains, and cadets. FO minimums include ATP/R-ATP eligibility with multi-engine rating, 1,500 total hours or R-ATP minimums, 50 hours multi-engine, 250 hours PIC, a valid passport with U.S. work authorization, FCC permit, current first-class medical, and high-school diploma/GED. Piedmont reports an approximately 18-month upgrade and a 4.5–6-year range to American through its contractual no-interview flow.
PSA Airlines
PSA is hiring first officers, experienced first officers, and direct-entry captains. Standard first-officer qualifications center on ATP or R-ATP eligibility, 25 hours of actual multi-engine time, FCC permit, first-class medical, passport, and U.S. work authorization.
Republic Airways
Republic's first-officer opening is active with immediate class availability. Applicants must meet ATP or R-ATP requirements; the current posting prefers the ATP written. Republic and Mesa remain separate operating and labor groups while JCBA, seniority-list, and certificate integration proceed.
SkyWest
SkyWest is actively accepting First Officer applications. Its public seniority table lists most-junior First Officer dates through May 25, 2026. Official materials describe two weeks of ground school followed by simulator training and IOE; APC reports a six-to-seven-week overall new-hire training period. Current displayed most-junior captain dates imply roughly 2.5 to four years to the left seat by domicile, with actual awards controlled by vacancies and seniority.
Southwest Airlines
Southwest resumed new-hire activity in 2026, but its public First Officer application was closed as of July 26, 2026. Current published minimums require an unrestricted FAA ATP with airplane multiengine land and English-proficient endorsements plus a first-class medical. Southwest prefers 500 hours of fixed-wing turbine time or completion of a Destination 225 pathway, and active flying during two of the previous five years.
UPS Airlines
UPS's current public airline careers page did not expose a directly verifiable line-pilot opening on July 26, 2026. APC's hiring flag is from its September 2022 profile update. FlightPath remains an active pathway, but current direct-entry minimums and initial-course duration were not public.
United Airlines
United's First Officer posting remains open as of July 26, 2026. United reported 17,126 ALPA-represented pilots at December 31, 2025. At June 30, 2026, United had 581 firm aircraft commitments; current public sources do not state a new-hire class cadence or age-65 retirement forecast.
